Houston Dash Acquire Midfielder Kelcie Hedge from OL Reign

The Houston Dash have acquired midfielder Kelcie Hedge in a trade with OL Reign for the No. 21 overall pick in the 2022 NWSL Draft. Houston will also send $15,000 in allocation money to OL Reign as part of the agreement.
Hedge had two appearances for OL Reign during the 2021 regular season. Hedge was selected No. 9 overall in the 2020 NWSL Draft. The 24-year-old midfielder was a three-year starter at Santa Clara University and scored five goals and tallied 10 assists during her senior season with the Broncos. Hedge was named the 2018 West Coast Conference Player of the Year as a redshirt junior.
Houston currently holds one selection in the 2022 NWSL Draft, the No. 44 overall selection.
The 2022 NWSL Draft will take place virtually this afternoon beginning at 1 p.m. CT and fans can follow the draft on CBS Sports Network and Paramount+.
