
Houser Reassigned by Cleveland

Cincinnati, OH- The Cleveland Monsters, American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned goaltender Michael Houser to the Cincinnati Cyclones. In order to accommodate the move, the Cyclones have released rookie goaltender Steve Racine.
Houser is no stranger to Cincinnati, as he spent 41 games with the Cyclones during the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons. During that time he posted a record of 22-16-3, along with a 2.39 goals against average and a .920 save percentage. He appeared in 17 games in the 2013 Kelly Cup Playoffs for Cincinnati as well, turning out a 9-5-3 record with a 2.24 GAA and .915 SV%.
He split last season between the Manchester Monarchs, and the Ontario Reign of the AHL where he posted a combined record of 20-13-4 along with a 2.63 GAA and a .907 SV%.
A native of Youngstown, OH, Houser has spent the majority of his four career in the AHL, having seen time with the San Antonio Rampage and Ontario Reign, in addition to the Monsters. He has recorded 32 wins in 71 AHL games played, including a career-high 19 with the Rampage in 2014-15.
Prior to turning pro in 2012, Houser spent three seasons with the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). In 141 games played from 2009-12, the 6'2", 192-pounder recorded 93 wins to go along with a 2.96 GAA and a .909 SV%.
Racine has not appeared in a regular season game for the Cyclones, however he earned a win in preseason action against Wheeling on October 7, stopping 17 of the 18 shots he faced in a 3-1 win over the Nailers.
