SAULT STE. MARIE, ON- The Soo Greyhounds began the Thanksgiving Weekend with a rematch of their 2014 opening round playoff series versus the Owen Sound Attack.

After skating scoreless through the opening six minutes of the first period, the Hounds would strike for a pair of goals just over a minute apart.

ZACH SENYSHYN was found at the left of the goal following a rush into the Owen Sound zone at 13:05 where he would tap the puck past Jack Flinn for the opening goal of the night.

Then at 14:10, MICHAEL BUNTING was on the receiving end of a great pass from BLAKE SPEERS, and would go upstairs from the slot to skate a 2-0 lead into the dressing room after one period.

Through the opening eleven minutes of the second period, the Hounds would score three more times building up a 5-0 lead.

TYLER GANLY picked the top corner of the net with his shot from the right point at 4:56, then SERGEY TOLCHINSKY tipped home his 3rd goal of the season at 10:23 before JARED MCCANN finished off some hard work by HAYDEN VERBEEK beating Flinn for his second goal in as many games.

Kyle Platzer would score a shorthanded and even strength goal in the period cutting the Hounds lead down to 5-2 through two periods.

Fast forward to the third period where the two teams traded off a pair of goals each before ending in a 7-4 Greyhound victory, their 6th consecutive win of the season.
