
Hounds To Play Host To Draft Prospects Next Week

With the best bantam teams in the province set to come to town, the Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club is excited to announce that a pair of prospects for the upcoming OHL Priority Selection will also be visiting Sault Ste. Marie during that time.
While away at the OHL Cup in Mississauga, team General Manager Dave Torrie has confirmed that both Daniel Catenacci and Alan Quine will make the trip north along with their parents this coming week. During this time the Greyhounds intend to showcase the team's home facility (the Essar Centre), educational opportunities (Bawating Collegiate & Vocational School), host family and other team facets along with a tour of the City.
Of special interest, Soo Greyhounds fans are encouraged to come and show their support as both players make unique visits as part of the All-Ontario Bantam Championship. Each prospect will drop the puck for ceremonial face-offs prior to two pre-determined games. Daniel Catenacci will take part in the pre-game festivities on Wednesday, March 25th at 8 p.m. when the York-Simcoe Express take on the Soo Greyhounds. Alan Quine will take part in the in the pre-game festivities on Thursday, March 26th at 3:00 p.m. between the Thunder Bay Kings and Nickel City Sons.
Both games will be played at the Essar Centre.
As part of the relationship the Soo Greyhounds have with the Bantam Hounds, tournament organizers have dropped the price for these games only so that Greyhounds fans can show these two young men their support while also enjoying some great Bantam hockey action. For these games only admission will be just a toonie - $2 for all Adults, Student & Senior admissions while Kids 12 & Under will remain free.
The 2009 OHL Priority Selection is set for Saturday, May 2nd, 2009 at 9 a.m. and can be followed online at www.ontariohockeyleague.com or www.soogreyhounds.com
