Round Rock Express News Release
If Jacques Landry was brought in to give the Round Rock Express more power, consider it a one game success so far.
Landry hit a home run in his first game with Round Rock, Michael Rosamond drove in four and D.J. Houlton threw seven shutout innings to give the Express a 7-2 win over the Arkansas Travelers in front of 3,432 at Ray Winder Field.
After striking out in his first at bat, Landry connected off of Billy Stokley in his second appearance in the fourth inning to break a 0-0 tie. Later in the inning, Rosamond hit the first of two home runs on the night to make it a 2-0 lead. He finished the evening with four RBIs.
Houlton coasted after that in a remarkable seven inning outing. He allowed only one hit and one walk to move his record to 5-3.
Stokley (1-5) took the loss.
The series and the first half will conclude Saturday at 7:10 p.m.
