Young Goes Distance as Sox Win

Behind the outstanding pitching performance by Jason Young the Colorado Springs Sky Sox blanked the New Orleans Zephyrs 5-0. Young threw a complete game shutout while only yielding 4 hits to notch his 5 win on the season. Young also got it done with the bat collecting 2 doubles and a RBI to help his own cause. Armando Romero added his 3rd home run of the year as part of his 2 hit and 2 RBI day. The Sox and Zephyrs play a day night double header on Saturday as part of a rain out during their last trip to New Orleans. In the first game the Sox will send Cory Vance (8-4, 2.49) to the hill against Doug Sessions (2-1, 3.02) of New Orleans. In game two Chris Michalak (6-5, 3.45) will go for the Sox and Bob Scanlan (0-0, 3.62) for New Orleans.
