New York, February 24, 2008 -- New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that forward Marcel Hossa was recalled from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Hossa, 26, notched one goal in five games with Hartford (AHL) during his conditioning stint. The 6-3, 220-pound forward returns to the Rangers having skated in 35 NHL games this season, registering one goal and seven assists for eight points, along with a plus-seven rating and 24 penalty minutes. The Ilava, Slovakia native has posted a plus or even rating in 32 of his 35 appearances, and he leads the team with a plus-seven rating. Hossa played in his 200th NHL game on November 10 at Toronto, registering a shootout goal in a 3-2 win.

The Blueshirts are in action today when they will face-off against the Florida Panthers at Madison Square Garden (7:00 PM). Tonight's contest will be televised live on FSN New York.
