
Hops Look to Keep Volcanoes Dormant

Hillsboro Hops News Release
The Hillsboro Hops and Salem-Keizer Volcanoes play again tonight at 6:35 PM at Volcanoes Stadium in Keizer, OR. The Volcanoes entered the season 15-9 against the Hops since the team relocated from Yakima, the only team in the NWL with a winning record against the reigning champions. The Hops have their number this year with an 8-2 record against SK, bringing the overall record between the two teams to 17-17.
The Hops won game 1 of the series 8-3 behind solid pitching from Tyler Bolton, and the third home run in three days for Trevor Mitsui. Infielder Josh Anderson also extended his hitting streak to 9 games by going 3x5.
Two former Hops who were promoted return tonight on rehab assignments, both from the AZL. Brent Jones will pitch for Hillsboro, and Grant Heyman will bat third and DH.
