AquaSox Trio Shuts out Indians

EVERETT, Wash. - AquaSox pitchers Enyel De Los Santos, Joe Pistorese and Joselito Cano combined for a four-hit shutout of the Spokane Indians as Everett won 5-0 on Monday, Aug. 17, at Everett Memorial Stadium. The trio combined for 12 strikeouts, and Alex Jackson hit his fifth home run of the season.

Drew Jackson led off the bottom of the first with a single, then took second on a wild pitch. He stole third and scored the game's first run after a throwing error on the steal. Alex Jackson led off the bottom of the second with a home run to right-centerfield to put the Frogs up 2-0.

Braden Bishop knocked in the final three runs of the game, first with a two-out double that plated Drew Jackson in the fifth. Then in the seventh, he singled up the middle to score Yordi Calderon and Jordan Cowan with two outs.

De los Santos had a 4.91 ERA entering the game, and had yet to hold an opponent scoreless for the AquaSox prior to Monday's game. He struck out six in the first five innings and only walked two batters.

Pistorese followed with three innings of no-hit ball, one walk and four strikeouts. Cano came on to pitch a scoreless and hitless ninth, only taking on a baserunner because of a dropped third strike.
