LAKEWOOD, NJ - The Greensboro Grasshoppers defeated the Jersey Shore BlueClaws 7-3, on Saturday, April 15. The Grasshoppers move to 6-2 on the season while the BlueClaws fall to 2-6, as Greensboro out-hit Jersey Shore 11 to 7.
Leading the Grasshoppers was Ernny Ordonez going 3-4 with two runs scored. Following behind was Jackson Glenn and Abrahan Gutierrez. Glenn tallied two hits, his first home run of the season, three RBI, and two runs scored. Gutierrez followed with two hits, one run scored, and three two bases.
Starting on the mound for Greensboro was Mitchell Miller, as he recorded two strikeouts in two innings of work. Drew Irvine took the win for the Grasshoppers and moved to 1-0 on the season. Grant Ford and Oliver Mateo both recorded their first holds of the season.
Matt Osterberg took the loss for the BlueClaws and moved to 0-1 on the season.
