
Hoppers Drop Season Opener to Hudson Valley Renegades

FISHKILL, NY - The Greensboro Grasshoppers dropped their season opener 8-1, against the Hudson Valley Renegades on April 7. The Grasshoppers tallied six hits against the Renegades six hits and one error.
Jase Bowen led the Grasshoppers going 3-4 with one double and one RBI. Hudson Head, Maikol Escotto, and Luke Brown also tallied hits for the Grasshoppers with Brown also recording a double.
Starting on the mound for the Grasshoppers was Anthony Solometo, who recorded five strikeouts and gave up two hits, one earned run, and one free base in four innings of work.
Mitchell Miller took the loss for the Grasshoppers allowing one hit, two earned runs, and three free bases. Miller moves to 0-1 on the season.
Harold Cortijo recorded the win for the Renegades and moved to 1-0 on the season.
