NORTH LITTLE ROCK - Zach Daniels' three-run home run in the sixth inning Wednesday night capped a barrage of four home runs by the Hooks, as they beat the Travelers, 12-6, at Dickey-Stephens Park.
Following a two-run blast by Joey Loperfido, Daniels and Jordan Brewer gave the Hooks a 3-0 lead in the opening frame with a double and single, respectively.
Nine-hole hitter Garrett Wolforth made it 4-0 with his first home run as a Hook, a two-out solo blast in the second.
CC went deep again in the third as J.C. Correa clubbed a two-run homer to left field. Correa is hitting .283 with two home runs and 11 RBIs in his last 15 games.
Daniels' three-run blast in the sixth traveled an estimated 412 feet the other way to right-center field. The Tennessee Volunteer belted a two-out, three-run home run on Tuesday, giving Daniels three home runs and 10 RBIs in his last six assignments.
Rhett Kouba breezed nine over 4 2/3 innings as part of a 17-strikeout performance by the Hooks pitching staff.
