CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS- Jason Adam allowed one run in seven innings, but the Northwest Arkansas Naturals offense was limited to one hit as the Corpus Christi Hooks earned a 2-0 win to complete a three-game sweep.

Domingo Santana was hit by an Adam pitch to lead off the seventh inning and advanced to third on an Eric Castro single. Santana scored on a Jonathan Meyer single to give the Hooks a 1-0 lead. Corpus Christi added an insurance run in the eighth on Rene Garcia's one out double.

Roman Hernandez provided the Naturals lone hit with a leadoff single in the sixth inning. Hernandez was retired on a force out, with the inning coming to a close on a double play. The Naturals had runners reach in three of the first four innings, but a pickoff, double play and caught stealing ended their threats. Corpus Christi was able to induce and execute three twin killings to end potential rallies for the Naturals.

Michael Foltynewicz didn't allow a hit in five innings, but was lifted in favor of David Martinez to start the sixth. Martinez earned his eighth win of the year, allowing one hit with one walk and two strikeouts in four innings.

Adam is the tough-luck loser, suffering his third loss in a row while allowing one run on five hits with one walk and five strikeouts in seven innings. Matt Ridings allowed one run on one hit with three walks in an innings.

The Naturals begin a three-game series tomorrow in San Antonio against the Missions. Sugar Ray Marimon (2-6, 5.98 ERA) is scheduled to start for the Naturals. Jose De Paula (3-4, 3.24 ERA) make the start in the series opener for the Missions.
