CORPUS CHRISTI - Houston Astros television broadcaster Bill Brown's latest book, "Houston Astros: Deep in the Heart," is on sale now at Hook, Line and Sinker. The book is a pictorial history of the Astros and takes fans with the team from expansion to the 2005 World Series against the Chicago White Sox.
Brown spent three years working on the book, which includes photos never released to the public and interviews with the key figures in Astros history from expansion to present day, including Jose Cruz, Larry Dierker, Nolan Ryan, Jeff Bagwell, Craig Biggio and more.
Brown is in his 27th season as Houston's primary play-by-play voice on TV and has received several honors, induction an induction into the Texas Baseball Hall of Fame in 2004. Prior to his work with the Astros, Brown called games for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Cincinnati Reds in the late '70s and early '80s.
