Halloween with the Hooks Set for October 29

CORPUS CHRISTI - The hunt for Halloween candy begins with Halloween with the Hooks, set for Thursday, October 29 at Whataburger Field.
The family event, presented by H-E-B, is from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Children 17-and-under are to be admitted FREE, while adult admission is $5 per adult. Proceeds benefit Hooks Help and the Coastal Bend Food Bank. Guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate as collection boxes will be staged at Whataburger Field's main gates.

In addition to trick-or-treat candy stops around the ballpark, carnival games and a pumpkin patch "photo BOOth," the festivities feature a 6:30 pm costume contest, with prizes for the top three contestants. A Halloween themed movie will also be played on the video board for families to enjoy.

"This event has been a Halloween hallmark in the Coastal Bend since 2014," Hooks Vice President of Business Development Maggie Freeborn said. "A big thanks to H-E-B for once again stepping up to the plate to help make all of this possible. We are expecting another huge crowd and a fun night at the ballpark. Our friends in the business community have been amazing with their amazing support each year. Those hoping for a trick-or-treat table, better act quickly as space is limited!"
Traditional ballpark food and beverages will be available for purchase. Pets are not allowed.
