Hooks Cruise to Third Straight Win

Corpus Christi Hooks News Release
SPRINGDALE, AR - Kenedy Corona homered for a third consecutive game while Spencer Arrighetti dominated in relief Tuesday night as the Hooks upended Northwest Arkansas, 5-1, at Arvest Ballpark.
Corpus Christi has won three in a row and 10 of the last 14 games.
Following a two-run poke Saturday and a lead-off home run on Sunday, Corona plated three in third inning Tuesday with a 407-foot blast to left field, handing CC a 3-0 lead.
The surplus was more than enough for the Hooks pitching tandem. Peyton Plumlee stranded six over the first four innings while Arrighetti struck out a career-best 12 batters over the final five frames.
Arrighetti, who struck out seven in a row and retired 13 of the final 14 men he faced, has permitted only two runs over five May outings, covering 27 innings.
