THE SPIRIT OF BUSINESS - The Hooks have been recognized by the Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce as its 2008 Corporate Citizen of the Year. Read the full story.
WELCOME HOME - Following a four-game road trip, the Hooks return to Whataburger Field for a pair of three-game series against Arkansas and Springfield. Gates open at 5:30 tonight as the first 1,500 kids 12-&-under receive Hooks Kids' Hampers courtesy of Peerless Cleaners. It's also another Brooks' Buffet. A general admission ticket, plus all-you-can eat hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, tea and soda can be yours for $14.

SIGN HERE, PLEASE - In the name of Affordable Family Entertainment, the Hooks show their appreciation for fans with a 15-minute autograph session at Hook, Line & Sinker one hour before each game. GAME TIME CHANGE - Start time for the final game of the season, Monday, August 25, has been moved to 6:05. This change accommodates families as most districts in the Coastal Bend begin the 2008-09 school year that day. Also, fans have the opportunity to watch fireworks on the field after a massive group photo is taken as part of the Caller-Times' 125 year anniversary celebration.
