Indianapolis Indians News Release

INDIANAPOLIS - A sixth-inning home run from the RailRiders' Gary Sanchez made up all the scoring on the day as Scranton/Wilkes-Barre topped Indianapolis, 2-0, on Sunday at Victory Field.

Tyler Glasnow (3-2) received the loss for the Indians (21-21) after allowing two runs in six innings, scattering eight hits, and walking two while striking out nine.

Richard Bleier (2-2) earned the win for six shutout innings for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (26-19).

Five scoreless innings came to an end with a two-run home run by Gary Sanchez in the sixth. The Yankee's No. 2 prospect was the one to deliver the crucial blow in yesterday's game, collecting three RBIs on a bases-clearing double in the third.

No further scoring took place as the five combined relievers that appeared from both bullpens combined to toss six innings of scoreless relief on three hits.

The Tribe's top bullpen performer was Kelvin Marte with two shutout, hitless innings.

Adam Frazier walked in his final at bat to bring his team-best 13-game hitting streak to a close.

The team will enjoy its third off day of the season tomorrow before traveling to take on Rochester Tuesday at 7:05 p.m.
