Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
Following a rainout last night, the IronPigs (23-18) conclude a four-game series against the fourth-place Toledo Mud Hens (17-23) with a doubleheader at Coca-Cola Park... With a 4-3 walk-off win on Friday, the Pigs have tied their season high with a four-game winning streak and have prevailed in eight of their last nine contests. In addition, they've improved to 4-1 on this seven-game homestand... The Mud Hens -- Detroit's top affiliate -- have lost three straight games and eight of their last nine against the Pigs going back to last season, including being swept by the Pigs in three games at Fifth Third Field from May 13-15... In addition, the Hens have dumped seven of their last eight affairs overall after an 8-4 stretch to start May... The Pigs are off on Monday before starting a three-game series at Pawtucket (21-22) on Tuesday.
In Game 1, RHP Mark Appel (3-2, 3.58) will start for LHV against LHP Daniel Norris (0-4, 8.06).
In Game 2, LHP James Russell (1-0, 0.96) will start for LHV against RHP Thad Weber (5-1, 1.49).
First-Pitch of Game 1 today is at 1:35 p.m.
