ON THE FIELD: Varsho, Ellis making May adjustments

Two Jackson regulars are starting to look more comfortable in the season's second month. Catcher Daulton Varsho (left, with bat) is batting .432 through his first nine games in May and was recently profiled for his seven-hit performance in a double-header.

At the same time, third baseman Drew Ellis (right, throwing) has turned also over a new leaf: his 14 hits, 4 doubles, and 8 RBI through 11 games in May have already equaled or surpassed the marks he set in those categories in 20 games in April.

?e defending Southern League champions have eight of the Arizona Diamondbacks' top 30 prospects on their current roster.
