Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. - After dropping the first two games following the All-Star break, the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters will look to get back to their winning ways when they take on the Kalamazoo Growlers on Saturday, July 25. The Rafters enter the weekend at 8-11 in the second half and 23-28 overall, seven games out of a playoff spot. The Growlers are 5-18 in the latter portion of the season and 13-43 on the season as a whole.

Last night, the Rafters fell to 0-3 against the North this summer as they lost to the Thunder Bay Border Cats 11-4. The Border Cats completed the sweep the Rafters despite committing five errors in Friday night's ball game. Thunder Bay's Johnny York (St. Mary's) picked up the win, Wisconsin Rapid's Jon Malmin (Texas) took the loss, and Border Cat Kenny Glove Jr. (Savannah State) picked up the save.

Looking to be a stopper on the mound tonight for Wisconsin Rapids is UW-Milwaukee commit Jay Peters. The Randolph, Wisconsin native is 2-1 on the summer with a sparkling 1.58 ERA over 17 innings. Peters has struck out 22 compared to just three walks in his three starts, including six scoreless innings in a win over Madison in his last start.

Fans in attendance will enjoy McCain Foods Night at the ballpark, featuring French fry and potato concessions specials. First pitch will be at 6:05 p.m., with the gates opening at 5:05. Just like every Saturday home game at Witter Field, all kids in attendance are invited to come down to the field and run the bases at the conclusion of the game.
