Holmes' Four Hits Aid Win

In only his 3rd game for the Crosscutters, Jake Holmes recorded a 4 for 4 performance helping Williamsport to a 4-3 win over the Doubledays

Holmes finished the night 4 for 4 with a double and a RBI, the second four-hit game by a Cutters hitter this season. Ben Aklinski went 2 for 5 with a pair of doubles, while Danny Mayer went 2 for 4 with a pair of doubles, an RBI and a pair of runs scored.

Jhordany Mezquita went the first five innings, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out five. Tyler Carr earned his 2nd win, working two shutout frames of relief, allowing two hits and a walk, while striking out three. Randy Alcantara earned his 3rd save, working a pair of scoreless frames, allowing three hits and striking out 2.

The Crosscutters improve their record to 4-3 against the Doubledays and run their current win streak to four games. Cutters manager Pat Borders was ejected in the bottom of the 4th inning by home plate umpire Tyler White, arguing a fair/foul ball.
