
Holmes earns weekly award

The Saskatchewan Roughriders are pleased to announce receiver and returner Corey Holmes has been named the CFL Special Teams Player-of-the-Week.
Holmes was dominant in Sunday's win over the Edmonton Eskimos at Taylor Field. The 27-year old picked up 129 punt return yards, including a 66-yard return for a touchdown to go along with 73 kickoff return yards. He also led the Riders with seven receptions for 99 yards and 10 rushes for 64 yards and a touchdown. Holmes last won this award during the 2002 season when he also won the league's Most Outstanding Special Teams Player award.
Holmes joins Kenton Keith, Reggie Hunt, Paul McCallum, Eddie Davis and Scott Schultz as Riders who have won CFL weekly awards this season.
