Mississippi Sea Wolves News Release
BILOXI, Miss. â The Third Annual Mississippi Sea Wolves and WLOX-TV Holiday Blood Drive held yesterday at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum Convention Center for the American Red Cross brought in a record 303 donors, surpassing the previous high of 261 set last year.
"We are very pleased with the community support," said Sea Wolves general manager and coach Bob Woods. "It was a pleasure to partner with WLOX-TV again to help the American Red Cross at a time of year where blood supply is at a shortage."
Each donor received a free T-shirt, free ticket to any Sea Wolves regular season home game in 2004-05 plus a free team photo. In addition, door prizes were given away every hour including promotional Sea Wolves jerseys. Special refreshments and Domino's pizza were also served.
