Craig Brown To Play In Subway Alumni Game

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots are proud to announce that Craig Brown will play in the Subway/Ice Pilots Alumni Game on Saturday, February 26th at 5:05 p.m. The game will be played before the Ice Pilots take on the Mississippi Sea Wolves at "The Hangar" at 7:05 p.m.

Brown was one of the original members of the Ice Pilots playing goal in the Ice Pilots first game at Mississippi on October 18, 1996. "Brownie" picked up the Ice Pilots first ever win in goal in the first ever Ice Pilots home game on October 25, 1996 at "The Hangar" stopping 31 out of 34 shots in a 6-3 win vs. Tallahassee in front of a sellout crowd of 8,053 fans.

Brown played for the Ice Pilots for three seasons from 1996-1999 and was part of the Ice Pilots Southern Conference C! hampionship team during the 1997-1998 season. He played in a total of 54 regular season games during his three years posting a record of 23-24-5 with a 3.59 goals against average and .893 save percentage and also played in two playoff games during the 1997-98 season.

Brown's best professional season was during 1995-96 with the Nashville Knights in the ECHL playing in 53 games posting a record of 32-14-4 with a 4.05 goals against average and he also played for the Atlanta Knights of the IHL. "Brownie" played his college hockey at Western Michigan University. He is currently the goaltending coach at Notre Dame and is a steel salesman in South Bend, Indiana.

"Brownie" will join Christian Sbrocca, Martin "Choo Choo" Chouinard, Shane Calder, Chad Quenneville, Andrew Rodgers, Eon MacFarlane, Kelly Hultgren, Scott LaGrand and Scott Malone in the Subway Alumni game along with Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr. Members of the Jr. Ice Pilots and Senior Leag! ue will also participate in the game.

During the intermission of th e Ice Pilots vs. Mississippi game, the Subway Hall of Fame Banner will be displayed as a couple of players will be inducted onto the Subway Hall of Fame Banner. Voting is currently taking place at www.icepilots.com for your top ten alumni players. Christian Sbrocca will sing both the Canadian and American National Anthems before the Ice Pilots game vs. Mississippi at 7:05 p.m.

The Ice Pilots play home tomorrow night vs. Charlotte at 7:05 p.m. Fans can purchase one $15 or $13 ticket to tomorrow's game and get another $15 or $13 ticket for free at the Civic Center box office.

The Ice Pilots will play at Louisiana on Friday at 7:05 p.m. and will return home Saturday, New Year's Night vs. Mississippi at 7:05 p.m. The first 100 fans who bring $5 worth of non winning Florida Lottery tickets to the Civic Center box office will receive a ticket to the game. Also Black Tie Bridal will have a contest to win two tickets for the Ice Pilots home game vs. Louisiana on January 8th and! a chance to win a formal gown and tuxedo rental for Mardi Gras or Prom.

Fans can purchase individual game tickets in person at the Civic Center box office, at any Ticketmaster location, Charge by Phone at 434-7444 or through the Ice Pilots website at www.icepilots.com. For group tickets, season tickets, birthday parties, the Ice Pilots Holiday Ticket Package and corporate sponsorships, fans can call the Ice Pilots at 432-7825.
