Bombers Bullied on the Boardwalk

Atlantic City, NJ – The Dayton Bombers dropped a 3-1 decision to the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies in front of 2,761 at Historic Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey Wednesday night.

Following a scoreless first period, Rob McFeeters took a nice pass from Paul Caponigri and beat Mike Ayers to give Atlantic City a 1-0 lead at 9:36 of the second period. The Bombers tied the game, 1-1, just 11 seconds after a penalty was called against Scott Horvath. SHAWN LIMPRIGHT came off the back wall and scored his 5th goal of the season at 15:09, and the teams were tied after 40 minutes.

Back-to-back third period goals from Brett Peterson (1:14) and Jason Notterman gave the Bullies a 3-1 win. The Bombers are 1-7-1 in their last 9 games as they prepare to open the 2005 portion of their schedule Saturday night.

The Bombers return to action New Year's Day when they host the Wheeling Nailers at 7:00 PM. Audio coverage will be provided at daytonbombers.com
