Hitting Stays Sharp, Chihuahuas Win at Home again

The El Paso Chihuahuas won their fourth game in a row, while extending their franchise record home winning streak to 11 in the 8-2 win over the Las Vegas 51s on Friday night.

Carlos Asuaje and Javy Guerra homered, while Luis Urias tallied his fourth straight multi-hit game, going 3-for-5 with an RBI to pace El Paso's offense. Logan Allen made his second Triple-A start and navigated his way through five innings in his home debut, allowing only two runs. Kyle McGrath, Travis Radke and T.J. Weir combined to pitch four shutout innings out of the bullpen to back Allen, who improved to 2-0.

With Friday's win, the Chihuahuas improved to 71-52, with the 19 games over .500 marking the most games over .500 El Paso has ever been. The Chihuahuas also improved to 13-3 in August and lowered their monthly team ERA to 2.48.
