
Sky Sox Rally Past Omaha, 3-2

Omaha Storm Chasers News Release
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - The Sky Sox scored three 2-out runs in the 7th and 8th to shade Omaha 3-2 on Saturday night at Security Services Field, sending the Chasers to their 2nd consecutive defeat.
Omaha took the lead in the top of the 3rd, as Humberto Arteaga doubled, Billy Burns bunted him to 3rd, and Nicky Lopez singled Arteaga in.
Aaron Wilkerson tossed 5 frames for the Sky Sox, yielding 1 run, 4 hits, and 1 walk. He struck out 3.
The Chasers doubled their lead in the 7th. With 2 out, Elier Hernandez doubled, and Jack Lopez drove him home with a single to make it 2-0.
The Sky Sox tied the game in the last of the 7th against Zach Lovvorn . Christian Bethancourt singled, and Richie Shaffer homered, leveling the score at 2-2.
Lovvorn pitched 7 strong innings, allowing just 2 runs on 4 hits. He struck out 3 and walked none.
Colorado Springs took the lead in the bottom of the 8th. After Richard Lovelady (L, 3-2) recorded the first two outs, Tyler Saladino tripled to right field, and the relay throw from Jack Lopez errantly skipped into the 3rd base dugout, allowing Saladino to score and making it 3-2 Sky Sox.
Jacob Barnes (W, 1-0) recorded the last out in the 8th, and finished the game in the 9th to earn the win.
The Storm Chasers (58-66) will conclude the series in Colorado tomorrow afternoon at 2:30. LHP Jonathan Dziedzic (6-8, 3.41) will pitch for Omaha, and RHP Brandon Woodruff (3-2, 3.67) will toss for the Sky Sox.
