
Hitmen Take Fourth Straight

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen ran their winning streak to four games with a 5-2 win against the Portland Winterhawks Sunday afternoon at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
Philadelphia Flyers prospect, Egor Zamula, opened the scoring for Calgary on a first period power play and added an assist to extend his point streak to five games.
Jett Woo, Orca Wiesblatt, Josh Prokop and Tye Carriere, in an empty net, tallied the other Hitmen goals in a contest that saw Calgary jump out to a 4-1 third period lead.
Jack O'Brien and Seth Jarvis replied for the Winterhawks who are now 0-2 on their six-game road trip.
Portland outshot the Hitmen 33-29 but lost the special teams battle. Calgary went 1-2 on the power play with the Winterhawks turning in a 0-5 performance.
Calgary will now travel to Edmonton for a match-up against the Oil Kings on Saturday, Oct. 12. Game time is 7:00 p.m. Then on Monday, Oct. 14, the Hitmen will host the Saskatoon Blades for a 2:00 p.m. matinee presented by Rangeland Engineering. The Thanksgiving Day game will feature AirBand Together for a Wish, presented by euroPRODUCTIONS, which will see several teams compete in an air band competition in The Club before the game. All proceeds will be directed to the Children's Wish Foundation and the Hitmen will facilitate a wish grant during the first intermission.
The 2019-20 Hitmen Hockey Pass is on sale now and includes 33 game tickets plus one ticket voucher to be used anytime, in any combination. Pass holders also receive a special 25th anniversary jersey, $50 Scotiabank Saddledome gift card and a complimentary ticket to a select Flames, Roughnecks or Stampeders game.
