
Hitmen Surge into Central Lead with 4-2 Victory

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen defeated the Swift Current Broncos 4-2 Sunday afternoon at the Scotiabank Saddledome as Calgary improves to 14-5-1-2, regaining the Central Division lead.
Cody Sylvester opened the scoring for Calgary mid way through the first period as both teams were held off the board in the middle frame. Pavlo Padakin netted a pair of third period goals, while Peter Kosterman scored the game winning marker. After starting the season with the AHL's Charlotte Checkers, Victor Rask marked his return to the Hitmen lineup with an assist on Kosterman's goal.
Chris Driedger made 21 saves in the Hitmen net as Calgary outshot Swift Current 32-23.
Calgary will now face the Lethbridge Hurricanes in a home-and-home series, starting Tuesday, Nov. 20 at the Enmax Centre and concluding Wednesday, Nov. 21 at the Scotiabank Saddledome, with a 7 p.m. puck drop.
