Calgary Hitmen News Release

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen are teaming up with Cops for Cancer to help raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society. Immediately following this Sunday's game against the Kelowna Rockets at least 10 Hitmen will take to center ice for grooming.

Captain Dylan Yeo will lead a charge that includes Derek LeBlanc, Brodie Dupont, Freddie Pettersson, Dan Mercer, Dan Spence, Eric Frere, Ryan Letts, Brendan Rowinski, and Devon Kalinski.

"I'll do it over and over again," said Yeo who also had his locks cut last season. "It always lifts someone's heart and touches somebody's soul."

Fans attending the game can help support the Canadian Cancer Society. Cops for Cancer will have tables set up on the concourse collecting donations. Any donation of 10 dollars or more will receive a tax receipt.

The on-ice shaving will be co-hosted by Jenna Holbrook from The Fan 960.

Last year's Hitmen Head Shave raised $7,250 for the Canadian Cancer Society.

Sunday's game against Kelowna is a 1 p.m. start at the Pengrowth Saddledome, and is the second of two weekend home dates. The first sees the Hitmen host Brandon Friday night at 7 p.m.
