Hitmen Game Time Change Puts CFL West Semifinal on Centre Stage
Published on October 23, 2012 under Canadian Football League (CFL)
Calgary Stampeders News Release
The Calgary Hitmen announced on Tuesday that they have changed the date and time of their scheduled Nov. 11 Western Hockey League game against the Kootenay Ice to Monday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m.
The move eliminates a conflict with the Stampeders' hosting of the Canadian Football League's West Division semifinal at McMahon Stadium. The Stamps will face either the Saskatchewan Roughriders or Edmonton Eskimos in the West semifinal at 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 11 as they bid to take one step closer to the 100th Grey Cup in Toronto.
"We are very grateful to the Calgary Hitmen, the Kootenay Ice and the Western Hockey League for making this change and allowing our city's passionate sports fans to concentrate all their energies and attention on the West Division semifinal on Nov. 11," said Stampeders president/COO Lyle Bauer. "We look forward to having Stampeders fans Pack Our House and to a terrific playoff game. And we certainly urge our fans to make their way to the Scotiabank Saddledome on Nov. 12 to support the Hitmen."
Fans are encouraged to get their playoff tickets through Ticketmaster (403-777-0000 or ticketmaster.ca), the Stampeders' Ticket Office (403-289-0258 or toll free at 1-800-667-3267) or Stampeders.com
