Blue Bombers Add Two Defensive Linemen to Practice Roster

WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have added import defensive linemen Rodney Fritz and Anthony DeGrate to their practice roster.

Fritz (6-1, 260, Tennessee State, DOB: May 8, 1987 in Kansas City, Missouri) appeared in three games for the Blue Bombers earlier this season, including one start at defensive end, and recorded three defensive tackles. He was originally signed by the team last September and played in three games last season as well as the East Final and 99th Grey Cup, recording four tackles and one sack during the regular season and two sacks in the East Final. Fritz transferred to Tennessee State as a junior from Los Angeles Pierce College where he was named to the Western State Conference First Team in 2007. At Tennessee State, he played in eight games and recorded 10 tackles, including three sacks. Fritz also spent time in the Ultimate Indoor Football League as well as the Arena Football League.

DeGrate (6-1, 251, Texas A&M Commerce, DOB: July 9, 1987 in Dallas, Texas) recorded 49 total tackles as a senior, including nine sacks, and one blocked kick. He's spent the past two seasons in the Arena Football League with the Pittsburgh Power, where he's recorded 39 tackles, 5.5 sacks two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
