Calgary, AB - Calder Brooks scored a power play goal less than two minutes into overtime lifting the Calgary Hitmen to a 4-3 win over the Red Deer Rebels Sunday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Calgary, now with wins in four straight, improves to 44-20-1-4 on the season.
Brooks (1g, 1a) finished the game with two points, while Cody Sylvester, Pavlo Padakin and Brooks Macek each scored in the win. Jake Virtanen added two assists for Calgary and now has six points (1g, 5a) in back-to-back games. Sylvester, now with 12 points (5g, 7a) in four games, and Padakin, with three goals and three assists in his last five, also extended scoring streaks.
Hitmen goaltender Chris Driedger made 22 saves to record his fourth win in as many starts.
