Royals' Clash with Winterhawks Sold Out

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Royals are excited to announce that the club's game versus the Portland Winterhawks this evening is now sold out.

Fans attending tonight's game will receive an opportunity to pre-buy tickets to Round 1 of the Royals' 2013 WHL Playoff Run. The Royals will face the Kamloops Blazers in the opening best-of-seven series and individual tickets will be on sale tonight at the beginning of the first intermission at the Select Your Tickets windows inside the concourse (located across from Guest Services). Playoff packages are also still on sale. Single game tickets for the 2013 WHL Playoffs will go on sale tomorrow, March 11th, at 9:30 a.m. at the Select Your Tickets box office located at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre, online at www.selectyourtickets.com or over the phone at 250-220-7777.

The Royals will honour our local heroes at Firefighter Appreciation Night when they take on the second-ranked team in the Canadian Hockey League, the Portland Winterhawks at 5:05 p.m. tonight. Pre-game festivities will include a special ceremonial puck drop highlighting former local junior hockey stars who now work or volunteer within one of Greater Victoria's fire departments! Fans are also encouraged to stick around after the game to skate with Victoria Royals players by donation! All donations for Sunday's skate with the team event will also support the Greater Victoria Firefighters Community Fund!

During the game, fans will be able to purchase tickets for the End of the Roll 50/50 draw and foam pucks for the Old House Village Chuck-A-Puck. Prizes for the evening's Chuck-A-Puck will include a one-night stay and spa treatment for two courtesy of Old House Village and two adult day lift passes from Mount Washington Alpine Resort! Proceeds from the evening's End of the Roll 50/50 will benefit Victoria Devils Fastball and the Old House Village Chuck-A-Puck will support Langford Velox Rugby.

The first intermission will see Timbits Minor Hockey presented by 100.3 The Q! featuring players from the Nanaimo Panthers Minor Hockey team! The second intermission will see one fan win a $100 gift certificate to Save-On-Foods courtesy of Kellogg's in Kellogg's Crunch Time! Kellogg's Tony the Tiger will also be in attendance helping out Victoria's favourite mascot, Marty the Marmot! Kellogg's will also be handing out samples of Nutri Grain Soft Bake bars upon exit. Also, don't miss your chance at the game to see the custom Royals chopper designed by Angels Chopper Bike Club!
