Hitmen Conclude Preseason Play in Red Deer

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen concluded their preseason with a trip to the Peavey Mart Centrium to face the Red Deer Rebels Friday night.
Red Deer opened up the scoring early with a goal from Ollie Josephson. Calgary was able to tie it shortly after with a tally from Matteo Danis, his second of the preseason. Red Deer would find the back of the net once more before the end of the first, courtesy of Quentin Bourne, regaining the lead. The second period remained scoreless despite a lengthy power play opportunity for Calgary.
Down by one in the third , Ethan Moore was able to tie things up shorthanded with under ten minutes remaining. Looking like it was heading to extra minutes, Samuel Drancak netted the game winner making the final score 3-2 Red Deer. Ethan Buenaventura made 30 saves in tonight's contest.
Calgary finishes the preseason with a 1-1-2 record.
The team now looks forward to the Home Opener on Friday, September 22nd when they take on the Medicine Hat Tigers at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Game time is at 7:00 p.m. MT. Tickets are available for purchase at HitmenHockey.com.
