Hitmen Close out the Season with 6-3 Win over Broncos

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen closed out their 68-game regular season schedule tonight as they welcomed the Swift Current Broncos to Scotiabank Saddledome. Calgary ended the season on a high note coming out victorious with a 6-3 win.

Swift Current took the first period scoring two from Conor Geekie and Clarke Caswell securing a lead headed into the second period. The flood gates would open in the second period for Calgary netting five unanswered. Carter Yakemchuk kicked things off on the power play for his 30th goal of the season. Connor Dale would follow up with his fifth of the year on a half breakaway just three minutes later. Reese Hamilton netted Calgary's second powerplay goal of the game to take Calgary's first lead.

Oliver Tulk scored his 39th and 40th goals of the season reaching the 80-point mark. Swift Current would put one more on the scoreboard from Dawson Gerwing, but Keets Fawcett would get it back on a breakaway out of the box to make the final score 6-3.

The last game of the season also marked the last regular season game for overager Tyson Greenway. The forward finished his career with 259 games played in the WHL notching 47 goals and 52 assists.

Calgary went five for five on the power play, registering 37 shots on net. Oliver Tulk (2g,2a) was a standout with four points, while Reese Hamilton (1g,4) recorded a career high five-point night.
