Idaho Stampede News Release
BOISE, Idaho - The Colorado 14ers came into Qwest Arena in Boise, Idaho and spoiled the Idaho Stampede's opening night of their inaugural NBA Development League season with a 121-101 victory. Over 3,900 fans watched the 14ers shoot 54% from the floor, with Pooh Jeter leading the 14ers with 21 points.
"When you commit 25 turnovers and they go out and shoot 54%, you are not going to win many games," said Stampede head coach Bryan Gates.
Seven players scored in double-figures for Colorado, led by Jeter, with Antoine Hood adding 14 points and Rick Rickert and Elton Brown adding 13 points.
Eddie Robinson paced the Stampede with 22 points and six assists. David Jackson added 17 points and Ricky Sanchez and Lance Allred each chipped in 15 points.
Colorado maintained an edge throughout the game until the start of the fourth quarter, when the 14ers held a nine-point advantage and then went on a 13-0 run to jump their lead to 22.
