DEVELOPING STORY: On the brink of tipping off its sixth season, the D-League continues to develop talent from across all disciplines for the NBA's 30 teams. In addition to 30 NBA player assignments to D-League affiliates, there have also been 68 GATORADE Call-Ups from the D-League to the NBA. Every referee hired by the NBA since 2002 has worked in the D-League.
HOLLINS ASSIGNED: The Charlotte Bobcats assigned center Ryan Hollins to their affiliate Fort Worth Flyers on Wednesday, marking the first NBA player assignment to the D-League this season and the 30th since the assignment system went into effect prior to last season.
35: No matter what he told you, it's not the age of Albuquerque coach Michael Cooper. It's the number of players with D-League experience on 2006-07 NBA opening day rosters, up from 17 to start the 2005-06 season.
ALL-STAR PREMIER: The inaugural D-League All-Star Game will be played Saturday, February 17 as part of 2007 NBA All-Star festivities in Las Vegas. The game will be played at Jam Session Center Court at 2 p.m. and will be televised live by NBA TV. D-LEAGUE 101: NBA TV's 2006-07 D-League preview show airs tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET.
THIS WEEK IN D-LEAGUE: Following "D-League 101", "This Week in the D-League" will air live every two weeks throughout the season on NBA TV. The show updates viewers on the league and tells the inside stories of the NBA's minor league.
ON NBA TV: NBA TV will air a 60-game D-League schedule this season, including 20 live games. The schedule of upcoming games follows:
