
Hiebert Named Oakley CHL Player Of The Week

LAREDO, Texas â The Central Hockey League announced today that Laredo Bucks forward James Hiebert has been selected as the Oakley CHL Player of the Week. Hiebert helped the Bucks to a perfect 3-0-0 record last week and into a first place tie atop the Southeast Division. Laredo returns home on Saturday against Austin. Hiebert totaled five goals and three assists in three games last week. He had two assists in a 3-0 shutout of Lubbock on Tuesday. Friday night he mustered his second career hat trick in a 7-3 win in Tulsa. On Saturday he had two more goals and added an assist in a 4-2 victory in Topeka.
The second year pro has registered nine goals and nine assists in the last ten games with the Bucks in the midst of a playoff drive. Laredo has points in seven straight games going 6-0-1.
WHITEOUT SATURDAY
· The Laredo Bucks have declared a whiteout for their Saturday game against the Austin Ice Bats. The Bucks will assist fans with the whiteout by offering 10 percent off all white merchandise at the Bucks Team Store located at the LEC. Fans are encouraged to wear white in a show of solidarity for the hometown Bucks. The effect of the whiteout creates a feeling of unity between the fans and the team.
GIVE BLOOD PLAY HOCKEY PART TWO ON SATURDAY
· Saturday fans can donate blood from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. at the LEC. All donors will receive a Give Blood Play Hockey T-Shirt and also will receive a ticket for a future Bucks game. In addition they will be entered in a drawing for prizes that will be given away during the Bucks game on Saturday.

GAME TIMES CHANGES FOR 2004-05 BUCKS SEASON
· The Laredo Bucks are changing the starting times for games this year during the 2004-05 CHL regular season. Tuesday-Thursday games will begin a half hour earlier at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday games will remain with a 7:30 p.m. start time.
