Hiciano, Walding Homer in 7-4 Win at Delmarva

SALISBURY, MD - Samuel Hiciano and Mitch Walding homered as the BlueClaws erased a 3-1 deficit in a 7-4 win over Delmarva on Friday night at Perdue Stadium.

Aaron Baker got Chance Sisco, the league's leading hitter who had three hits in the game, to fly out to left field as the tying run in the bottom of the 9th.

The BlueClaws (17-25/44-67) have won two straight games after dropping the first game of the series to Delmarva (18-24/56-55) on Wednesday night.

Lakewood took the lead with four runs in the 5th inning, going ahead on an grounder to third base by Andrew Pullin that was misplayed for an error by Drew Dosch, allowing two runs to score. Lakewood would add a 4th run in the 5th inning on an RBI single by Larry Greene Jr to go up 5-3, a lead they would not relinquish.

Delmarva starter Bennett Parry (0-1) gave up five runs/two earned in 4.2 innings to take the loss.

The BlueClaws added a run in the 8th inning on an RBI double from Dylan Cozens and another in the 9th inning on a home run by Walding, his 4th of the season.

Hiciano's home run in the third inning was his 9th of the year. He finished 2-3 with two RBIs in the win. Dylan Cozens and Willians Astudillo both had two hits for the BlueClaws.

Ranfi Casimiro (3-9) earned the win allowing three runs/two earned in six innings. Julio Reyes threw two scoreless frames and Aaron Baker gave up a run in the 9th.

The series concludes on Saturday night. LHP Matt Imhof (0-1) takes the mound for Lakewood against RHP Janser Severino (1-2, 8.53).
