
Hewitt Walk-Off Single In Bottom of 9th Wins It

Anthony Hewitt came up with the bases-loaded in the bottom of the ninth and hit a walk-off RBI single off Fisher Cats reliever Scott Gracey (0-1) to give the Fightin Phils a 6-5 victory on Tuesday night.
The Reading Fightin Phils got started early off Fisher Cats starter Aaron Sanchez as they scored two runs in the bottom of the second inning to take a 2-0 lead. Tommy Joseph entered the game looking for his first hit and finally got it as he hit a solo home run to give the Fightins their first run of the game. The second run came on a sacrifice fly from Chris Serritella after Brock Stassi moved to third on a wild pitch.
New Hampshire answered in the top of the third inning off Biddle as Kenny Wilson hit a three-run home run to give the Fisher Cats a 3-2 lead. The Fisher Cats added another run in the top of the sixth inning off Biddle as Brad Glenn hit a RBI triple to score Jon Berti and take a 4-2 lead. Fisher Cats starter Aaron Sanchez pitched five innings and allowed two runs off five hits with two walks and three strikeouts.
McSherrystown, PA native and Albright College graduate Casey Lawrence made an appearance. He pitched two innings in relief of Sanchez as he allowed one run off three hits with one walk and two strikeouts. Zach Collier hit a RBI single off Lawrence in the bottom of the seventh inning to score Carlos Alonso and bring the Fightin Phils within one run, 4-3. The Fightin Phils tied the game at 4-4 in the bottom of the eighth inning as Brock Stassi scored on a wild pitch from Fisher Cats reliever Tyler Ybarra.
New Hampshire wouldn't quit as they broke the 4-4 tie in the top of the ninth inning as Michael Crouse hit a sacrifice fly off Ryan O'Sullivan (1-0) to give the Fisher Cats a 5-4 lead heading into the bottom of the ninth.
Ryan O'Sullivan received the win for the Fightin Phils as Scott Gracey (0-1) took the loss for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. The Fightin Phils and the Fisher Cats wrap up their two-game set on Wednesday night at FirstEnergy Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 pm.
