Hershey Bears announce promotional nights

The HERSHEY BEARS have announced their line-up of promotional nights for the 2004-2005 season. To date, the BEARS have 27 promotional nights scheduled for the upcoming season. Returning promotions for the 2004-2005 season are two Dodge Bobblehead Nights, Fairview Golf Course Night, and Hershey Foods Trick-or-Treat Night. New promotions for the upcoming season will include Strictly Formals New Year's Eve, Bic Graphic USA Photo Night, and Commerce Bank Car Flag Night. Also highlighting the schedule are Canteen / Stroehmann Turkey Shoot Night, Kunzler Ham Shoot Night, and two HERSHEYPARK® Pass Nights. There are also 11 special Group Nights for the upcoming season, which are detailed below.

The following is a list of the 2004–2005 promotional nights:

Opening Night PNC Bank Magnet Schedules (October 16) – At the 2004-2005 HERSHEY BEARS home opener, the first 8,000 fans will receive a magnet schedule with all BEARS home and road games, as well as the All-Star Break and BEARS ticket information, compliments of PNC Bank.

Comcast Cable Night (October 23) – New for 2004-2005 Comcast will provide the first 3,000 fans with a mouse pad for their desk. This mouse pad will add the BEARS schedule to your desktop.

HERSHEY FOODS Trick-or-Treat Night (October 31) – All kids, ages 12 and under, will receive a Trick-or-Treat bag full of goodies, compliments of HERSHEY FOODS. Kids of all ages are encouraged to dress up in their favorite Halloween costume for the third annual HERSHEY BEARS costume contest. Upon arrival at the game, costume contestants can sign up at Coco's Kids Clubsm Headquarters to be in the contest. The BEARS will wear special Halloween jerseys in the game versus the Norfolk Admirals. Following the game, the players will sign their jerseys and auction them off. The proceeds from the auction will be donated to a charity, through the HERSHEY BEARS Foundation.

Capital Blue Cross Night (November 6) – The first 3,000 adults will receive an ice scraper, compliments of Capital Blue Cross.

HERSHEYPARK Fan Appreciation Night I (November 7) – Back as the most popular BEARS promotion, all fans in attendance will receive a one-day pass to fun-filled HERSHEYPARK, good through July 4, 2005.

Help the House Night (November 20) - The HERSHEY BEARS Booster Club will be collecting items to be donated to the Ronald McDonald House.

Dodge Bobblehead Night I (November 21) – The HERSHEY BEARS will be giving away Dennis Bonvie bobbleheads to the first 4,500 fans sponsored by your hometown Dodge dealers.

Canteen / Stroehmann Turkey Shoot (November 24) – All fans are invited onto the ice following the game to try their luck at winning a Thanksgiving turkey. Those fans that hit the board will receive a bag of stuffing from Stroehmann Bakeries.

Coffee Time Travel Mug Night (November 27) – Back for a second year to the BEARS promotional calendar, Coffee Time, the coffee supplier of GIANT Centersm, will be giving away travel coffee mugs to the first 3,000 fans

WGAL and BELCO Teddy Bear Toss Night (December 11) – Back by popular demand, all fans are encouraged to bring a teddy bear or another stuffed animal to the game. When the BEARS score their first goal of the game, fans are encouraged to toss the teddy bears onto the ice in celebration of the goal. All teddy bears will be donated to local children's hospitals

Members 1st FCU Rally Towel Night (December 18) – Now becoming a tradition on the BEARS promotional calendar, the first 3,000 fans will receive a rally towel to help show their support of the BEARS.

The Ultimate Christmas Gift from your Hometown Dodge Dealers (December 19) – One lucky fan will be guaranteed to win a 2005 Dodge Dakota, compliments of your hometown Dodge dealers. All fans 18 and older at GIANT Center will have one chance to go home the winner of a new Dodge.

Strictly Formals New Year's Eve with the BEARS (December 31) – Come start the party early as the first 3,000 men who enter GIANT Center will receive a top hat and a chance to win a new tuxedo from Strictly Formals.

Huggins Printing Company Team Photo Night (January 15) – Back as one of the BEARS more popular promotions, the first 5,000 fans will receive an 8" x 10" full color photo of the 2004-2005 HERSHEY BEARS.

PSECU Night (January 23) – To be determined.

HERSHEYPARK Fan Appreciation Night II (January 26) – Yes, we are having two HERSHEYPARK nights again! All fans in attendance will receive a one-day pass to HERSHEYPARK, good through July 4, 2005.

BELCO Night (February 5) – Another new promotion for 2005. The first 3,000 fans will receive a can coolie that is shaped like a BEARS jersey, compliments of BELCO.

Stoner Graphix HERSHEY Bears Notepad Night (February 12) – Stoner Graphix will give the first 3,000 fans a HERSHEY BEARS Post-It notepad.

Penn State Cardiovascular Center Night (February 19) – The first 3,000 fans will receive a HERSHEY BEARS t-shirt from Penn State Cardiovascular Center. Penn State Hershey Medical Center will be hosting a "Health Awareness Fair" on the GIANT Center concourse.

Kunzler Ham Shoot Night (February 26) – All fans in attendance are invited to come down onto the ice post-game and try to win an Easter ham from Kunzler.

Dodge Bobblehead Night II (February 27) – The HERSHEY BEARS will be giving away Coco The Bear bobbleheads to the first 4,500 fans, compliments of your hometown Dodge dealers.

Throwback Night and Post Game Jersey Auction (March 13) – The BEARS will wear special throwback jerseys from the Calder Cup Championship 1968-1969 season in their game versus the Norfolk Admirals. Following the game, the players will sign their jerseys and auction them off. The proceeds from the auction will be donated to a charity, through the HERSHEY BEARS Foundation.

Bic Graphic USA Photo Night (March 20) – The first 5,000 fans will receive a HERSHEY BEARS marker from Bic. Post game, all fans in attendance will be invited down onto the ice to take pictures and get autographs of their favorite BEARS players. The first 3,000 fans that enter the ice will receive a team photo.

HERSHEY BEARS Booster Club Food Bank Drive (March 26) – All fans are encouraged to bring a food item to donate to the Booster Club Food Drive for the Central PA Food Bank.

Commerce Bank Car Flag Night (March 27) – New to this year's line-up is the Commerce Bank car flag giveaway. The first 3,000 adults to enter GIANT Center will receive a flag for their car to show support for the BEARS.

Fairview Golf Course Golf Ball Night (April 9) – Once again, Fairview will put us all in the mood to golf! The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a logoed golf ball, compliments of Fairview Golf Course.

Player Awards Night (April 10) – The BEARS players are recognized for their hard work during the course of the regular season. Some of the awards that are presented include Team MVP, Best Defenseman, Rookie of the Year and Top Plus/Minus Award.

In addition to the 27 promotional nights, the BEARS have slated 11 special Group Nights for the upcoming season. Remember, groups of 15 or more may purchase discount tickets to any game (excluding November 7 and January 26). The BEARS open their regular season at home on October 16 when they face-off against the Norfolk Admirals at 7 p.m. Tickets for all HERSHEY BEARS home games may be purchased by calling the GIANT Center Box Office at 717-534-3911.
