Toledo, OH - The Toledo Mud Hens were unable to plate a run as the Charlotte Knights defeated the home team 4-0 on Friday night at Fifth Third Field.
The Mud Hens (19-32) only registered two hits for a season low as the Knights (29-23) claimed the win. Charlotte LHP Justin Nicolino had a no-hitter going through six and two-thirds innings before Dustin Peterson hit a single to break it up.
For the third time in their professional careers, Peterson and D.J. Peterson squared off as older brother DJ put little brother in line.

- Toledo Mud Hens (@MudHens) June 1, 2019 Adam Engel led off the game for the Knights in a big way with a solo home run over the left field wall to give Charlotte an early run.
The teams fought in a pitcher's duel till the sixth inning when the Knights scored a run on a pair of hits to take a 2-0 advantage.
Charlotte doubled its lead in the eighth inning as Matt Skole doubled to plate Daniel Palka and Paul Orlando solidifying the 4-0 victory in the series opener.

The Toledo Mud Hens will take on the Charlotte Knights in game two of a three game series tomorrow evening with first pitch set for 7:05 p.m. at Fifth Third Field.
