Your Corpus Christi Rayz return home for two big games this weekend against their biggest rivals - the Laredo Bucks. The Rayz have won five games in a row and have the second best record in the Southern Conference, trailing only the Bucks by six points as of Tuesday afternoon. On Saturday Night and Sunday Afternoon, the Rayz are asking for your help as they go "Buck Hunting" at the American Bank Center. The Bucks are the Rayz biggest rivals and games between the two South Texas clubs are always intense, physical games. This weekend the Rayz and Bucks will clash in back-to-back matchups of the top two teams in the Southern Conference and fans can be there for both action-packed games.
This weekend marks the beginning of a stretch where the Rayz and the Bucks will meet a total of eight times over the final 24 games. The road to Southern Conference supremacy goes through this rivalry and the Rayz have a chance to use their home ice advantage this weekend with the help of Corpus Christi.
Saturday Night at 8:05pm is ICU II Night and the Rayz will wear special Delta Airlines jerseys that will be auctioned off at the game. On Sunday at 3:05pm, it's Caller-Times Family Day where you can get two FREE child tickets (for kids 12 and under) with the purchase of a regular priced adult ticket. Then after the game stick around for a FREE post-game skating session with the Rayz. Bring your skates or rent them at the American Bank Center for $3. Plus at both games fans can take advantage of the Miller Lite Power Play special where fans can get $2 beers after every Rayz power play goal. Make sure you're there for this huge rivalry weekend. Group discount tickets are available for all parties of ten people or more.
