Worcester Tornadoes News Release

WORCESTER, MA- Help make a house a home by donating a new set of twin sheets on Friday, September 1st, when the Tornadoes face the North Shore Spirit at 7pm at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field. Team up with the Worcester Tornadoes and Rotmans, New England's largest furniture and carpet store, to benefit the Donations Clearinghouse (DCH) a program of the Central Massachusetts Housing Alliance. Your donation will benefit a family in the Worcester County community.

The DCH was founded in 1989 and is the only program of its kind in Worcester County. The DCH provides serviceable, used household items and furniture free of charge to families and individuals moving from shelters to permanent housing, victims of domestic violence, elders at risk, fire and flood victims and DSS reunification cases. Since its inception, the DCH has assisted more than 12,000 households and during the past year, was able to assist over 1,400 families and individuals with household items.

"This is a great opportunity for Tornadoes fans to come together and make a donation that will have an immediate, positive impact for families in the greater Worcester community," said Alan Stone, team President & CEO.

The DCH truck will be parked adjacent to Hanover Insurance Park on game night, and in appreciation for your support and donation the Worcester Tornadoes will offer a ten percent discount on any adjustable hat or primary logo t-shirt!
