Aberdeen Wings News Release
The North American Hockey League announced Monday the Players Of The Week honors for play last week. Among those honored were two Aberdeen Wings players.
Wings center Jordan Heller (C-Bemidji, MN) received an honorable mention for his play over the weekend series against Bismarck. Late in the 3rd period, Heller scored his second goal of the season and on Saturday scored in the 1st period for his third goal of the season. Over the weekend Heller accumulated 2 points.
Wings goaltender Chad Catt (G-Williamstown, MI) also received honorable mention over the weekend series. Friday night Catt entered the game late after Coach Winter pulled starting goalie #30 Henry Dill (G-Columbus, OH). Catt finished the game stopping all 7 shots against him. Saturday night Catt surrendered one goal to Bismarck with regulation ending at 1-1. After a scoreless 4-on-4 overtime, the Wings and Bismarck had a shootout where Aberdeen would come up short. Catt however did stop 37 of 38 shots in regulation play.
The Aberdeen Wings are on the road this weekend as they will face the Minot Minotauros for a two-game series. You can hear the game on 107.7 KABD-FM or listen-watch on FASTHockey.com.
