Heeps Named Becker Shoes Player of the Week

The Owen Sound Attack has named rookie forward Ryan Heeps the Becker Shoes Player of the Week.

After playing in his hometown of Oshawa on Friday night in front of friends and family, Heeps and the Attack returned home on Saturday to take on the Rangers in an important divisional matchup. With the game tied at one in the late stages of the third, Heeps buried his first career OHL goal on the powerplay the give the Attack a 2-1 lead an eventual win.

Heeps, along with other Attack rookies have impressed of late, playing increased minutes in the absence of several key veterans. The Oshawa native has a pair of assists to go along with his first career OHL goal.

The Attack is back in action this Thursday and Friday on the road in Barrie and Guelph before returning home on Saturday night to take on the Storm.
