Heath, Horan, Franch, Sonnett Named to U.S. Women's National Team Roster for January Training Camp, Matches against France and Spain

PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Thorns FC midfielders Tobin Heath and Lindsey Horan, goalkeeper Adrianna Franch and defender Emily Sonnett have been named to the 26-player U.S. Women's National Team roster for a training camp in Europe ahead of a pair of friendly matches against France on Jan. 19 and Spain on Jan. 22.

The United States will train in Portugal and then travel to square off against France on Jan. 19 at Stade Océane in Le Havre, France; kickoff is set for 11:30 a.m. (Pacific) with a national television broadcast on FS1. In its second match, the USWNT will take on Spain on Jan. 22 at Estadio José Rico Perez in Alicante, Spain, at 11:30 a.m. (Pacific) on ESPN2.

Horan (62 caps) and Sonnett (26 caps) featured for the USWNT in November friendlies. Horan started and played 90 minutes against Portugal in a 1-0 win on Nov. 8, while Sonnett made a substitute appearance against Portugal and started and played 90 minutes in a 1-0 win over Scotland on Nov. 11. Franch was part of the roster in the matches against Portugal and Scotland, but did not make an appearance. Most recently, Heath (142 caps) played in four matches (4 starts) during the 2018 Concacaf Women's Championships, tallying four goals.
