Harrisburg Heat News Release
The Harrisburg Heat blew a 6-5 lead with 30 seconds left to play in regulation, sending the game into overtime and falling short when Cedar Rapid's Alfee Robbins scored his second goal of the game. The Heat lost 7-6.
The Heat got down early in the first quarter when Cedar Rapid's Alex Megson scored two early in the game. Harrisburg's Val Teixeira answered back, his first of two goals in the game.
The Heat went into halftime with the 4-3 lead, but would give up four goals in the second half.
The Heat also saw goals from Tyler Witmer (2), Derek Long, and Chris Hall.
Cedar Rapids had goals from Diego Bobadilla (2) and Gordy Gurson.
Tim Mehl took the loss in the net as the Heat remain winless on the season.
The Heat plays their last game of the season in Syracuse on Friday, March 4 at 7:30.
